Travelling to Belgrade
Belgrade Airport "Nikola Tesla"
The Belgrade airport (http://www.beg.aero/welcome.54.html) is not large, so if you are arriving on an international flight there is only one main exit terminal and exit gate. At the main exit gate you can find taxi or bus services. The distance from the Belgrade airport to the city center is around 20 km. The journey takes around 30 minutes by car or 45 minutes by bus.
Air Serbia (http://www.airserbia.com) in partnership with Etihad provides direct flights to the following European cities: Vienna, Brussels, Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Sofia, Prague, Podgorica, Tivat, Copenhagen, Paris, Athens, Larnaca, Thessaloniki, Amsterdam, Dubrovnik, Split, Milano, Rome Fumicino, Tel Aviv, Skopje, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Bucuresht, Moscow, Ljubljana, Zürich, Stockholm, Istanbul, and London Heathrow.
Wizzair (http://wizzair.com) provides direct flights to Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Brussels Charleroi, Dortmund, Eindhoven, Gothenburg, Larnaca, and London Luton.
Other airlines flying to Belgrade include Aegean Airlines, Aeroflot, Air Cairo, Alitalia, Austrian Airlines, B&H Airlines, Belavia, Croatian Airline, EasyJet, Etihad Airways, Flydubai, Germanwings, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Montenegro Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Pegasus Airlines, Qatar Airways, Swiss, TAP Portugal, TAROM, Tunisair, Turkish Airlines, and Vueling Airlines.
Taxi services are available to and from the airport. At the airport exit there is a Taxi information desk. We strongly recommend you to ask for the taxi voucher with a fixed price. The price is 1800 Serbian Dinars (the equivalent of around €15). Taxi drivers usually do not accept credit card payments, so have some cash on you: small euro notes can be helpful or get dinars at ATMs or exchange office at the Airport).
The public bus service from the airport is available by Mini Bus A1. The last stop is at Slavija Square in the Belgrade city center. Tickets can be purchased on the bus at the cost of 300 Serbian Dinars (just under €3). From Slavija Square (the last stop of Mini Bus A1), you can either walk to your desired destination in the city or use the public transportation (bus, tram, trolley bus) or taxi. Public transportation is very cheap, but could be crowded at peak hours. Mini Bus A1 service operates from 5 am. The last bus leaves the airport at 18:40 pm.
