Nominations for hosting the MESO 2020 meetings


So far, we have received one nomination for hosting the next meeting MESO 2020 from ICArEHB, Universidade do Algarve, Faro, Portugal and the document detailing this can be downloaded here. Poster presentations -- format requirements


The size for the submitted posters must be ISO A1 (594 mm x 840 mm), portrait format only. Posters must be submitted on the morning of the first day of the conference (September 14, 2015) so that they can be mounted on panels and ready for Poster presentation session at 18:30 on the same day.


Tips for effective posters:


  • Posters should have mostly graphics with as little text as possible.

  • Text on posters should be written in English only.

  • Avoid using all capitals in your text and do not underline. All caps and underlining is hard to read in more than a short sentence.

  • Consider using the following format:

    • Title: 60 to 80 pt

    • Main headings: at least 30 pt

    • Body Text: at least 20 pt, justified

    • Captions: at least 18 pt, italic.


Call for Abstracts (closed)


The MESO2015 Committee invite speakers to submit abstracts for 10 minute papers and poster presentations on any subject related to Mesolithic archaeology. Abstracts should be no more than 200 words in length and should also include a title and list of all authors and their institutional affiliations. Please also indicate whether your abstract should be considered for a poster or presentation.


All abstracts and presentations must be in English.


Please send your abstract to by November 1st 2014 (extended deadline). Notifications will be made by January 2015.

Monographic Sessions/Round Tables


Speakers are also invited to submit monographic sessions/roundtables in those cases when particular topics cannot be accommodated by the session categories listed above. At least seven speakers per session are needed for these requests to be accepted. Only session organizers should submit individual paper abstracts planned for each monographic session.
